Runners: The Triple Challenge half Marathon route will take you from the seafront at Seaford on to the Downs to the North of the town. You will mostly be on footpaths or bridlepaths, tracks and minor roads. In places the terrain can be challenging but the views make it worthwhile. This challenge is restricted to participants over the age of 17.
Cyclists: You will follow a similar route to the runners, however as you reach the summit of the Downs your paths will deviate, before joining up again towards the end. You have a choice of a 20mile or 30 mile route.
Walkers: You have a choice of the extreme challenge of undertaking the same half marathon route as the runners, or a shorter, 7 mile route. Whilst the shorter route does not reach the top of the Downs it gets high enough to give you spectacular views across Seaford Bay.
Walkers are welcome to bring dogs as long as they are strictly under control and don’t get in the way of runners or cyclists.
Participants under the age of 17 are welcome to take part in either the walking or cycling challenges but must be under the supervision of an adult through out the event. Please be aware that these are tough challenges and not to be attempted lightly by young people.
Detailed route maps will be available on the day of the event but if you wish to see an outline of the routes now, then use the links given below.
None of the routes go past cafes and pubs, so take water and any refreshments that you think you may need. En-route there will be at least one water station provided by the Rotary Club.
